#Deactivate automatic control

If an actuator channel is simultaneously controlled by a button and an automatic function, such as a time command from the KNX timer or a switch command from the KNX movement detector, selecting **Automatic control deactivation** switches off the automatic function and executes the command stored for the button.

Link the 1-bit object **Automatic control deactivation** of the button to the corresponding object of the actuator channel. If the value is 1, the automatic function is deactivated. It is reactivated if the value is 0.

#Application example: Time-dependent switching of outdoor lighting
The outdoor lighting is switched on at a certain time every weekday evening and switched off again later. However, on certain occasions (garden parties) the outside lighting should stay on for longer. In this case, press the button for the **Automatic control deactivation** function to deactivate time-dependent switching on and off of the outdoor lighting for this evening and activate it later for the next day by pressing the button again.
